Ruth Stone is the recipient of numerous honors, including the 2002 National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Cerf Lifetime Achievement Award for the state of Vermont, Guggenheim Awards, Pushcart Prizes, a Whiting Award, and the Shelley Memorial Award. She lives in Vermont.
